Hey guys it is Travis from 366 marketing. Today I want to talk to you about the difference between a video marketing agency and a video agency. They sound pretty similar I know. There is only that one little “marketing” word , that makes world of difference as a matter of fact.
It is kind of like when you hire a graphic designer to design your website. It is going to look beautiful.
But it may not do what you want it to from a functionality standpoint. It may not be the easiest to use, it may not convert customer that well, but it will look nice. That is kind of what we are talking about today.
With a video marketing agency what you are really going to do is get more focus on the marketing side of your video.

Video Marketing Goals:
What is a video marketing agency going to help you with that a video agency is not going to have top of mind? Well they are going to start with your goals. What are your objectives what do you want to get from this video? Video is great, but you don’t want to create video just to be able to say we have a video.
We don’t need any more advertisements on Youtube. You want your video to be incorporated with the rest of your marketing strategy.
Build Rapport:
You want to meet with your video marketing agency. You want to get to know them. You want to have an ease and a rapport with them.
Because frankly, video is not a quick process it has three different components, that start before you even have the camera, to video production, to distribution and how you can do that correctly. So you really want to have a rapport with your video marketing agency.
Talk Budget:
Third last, pretty important you need to talk budget. It is something that people shy away from. But when you are talking about a fairly expensive tactic like a video you need to have that talk up front.
I am not saying that all video is going to cost you 10 or 20 k, it is not you can work with a video marketing agency for that and accomplish your goals for far less than that.
But you need to have that conversation. So they will know exactly what you want, exactly what scope and exactly what resources they can bring to bare.
You want to start with your goals, make sure it ties to your overall marketing strategy. You want to meet with your video marketing agency, make sure you guys get along that you click. You want to bring up the budget fairly early in the conversation.
